Why Executive Coaching?

The current business environment is extremely fast paced; the amount of time any professional has to prove themselves - or dedicate to growth and performance goals - seems to get shorter all the time. No matter what the industry or experience level, all senior professionals benefit from having a trusted advisor who has the ability to offer an external, unbiased and pragmatic view point while at the same time remaining focused on the success of the individual and the organization they work for. A successful coaching relationship provides a confidential environment for individuals to question various assumptions, identify opportunities and deficiencies and work through problems and potential solutions.

The Coaching Process

Cynthia Zeltwanger's approach to coaching is pragmatic, direct and pro-active. Using her business acumen and relationship skills she quickly establishes confidence and credibility with her clients. A clear and defined set of coaching objectives is one of the first priorities with any given client. In general, clients will pursue these coaching objectives during the weekly, one-on-one coaching sessions as well as in-between sessions as necessary. The combined use of defined and attainable coaching objectives, client commitment and confidence in the coach and in the coaching process form the foundation of of the coaching relationship and are the keys to a successful and productive coaching experience.

To assist in this process, whenever possible she will elicit input from the client's superiors, team members and subordinates. A significant time commitment is necessary to have lasting improvements. As such, successful coaching assignments are typically for a minimum of six months.

Experience

Cynthia Zeltwanger brings many years of business expertise and accomplishment to the coaching she provides. She has personally - and successfully - served as a Regional CEO with full P&L responsibility and Global COO for a multi-national financial services organization (see About for more details). As a recent chief executive she is intimately familiar with the many challenges facing today's managers working through major transitions such as mergers and acquisitions, environments of business retrenchment as well as fast paced growth. This broad range of experience, combined with her motivational skills, enables her to quickly understand the context in which clients are operating, develop realistic action plans and progress towards attainable, practical solutions.
